The technical operations unit is a central unit and part of the IT office within the municipal executive administration. We coordinate and support the municipal IT operations in Sandviken Municipality.

The IT office currently has 36 dedicated employees responsible for Sandviken Municipality's IT delivery, which is based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and security.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help create the IT environment of the future?

We are looking for a System Technician for our Technical Operations group, a key role where you will work with advanced technology, problem-solving, and development in a constantly changing environment.

With us, you will be part of a competent team of 11 people who together ensure that our operational systems function stably, efficiently, and with high quality. Your contribution makes a difference every day.

Your Role

As a system technician, you are a central player in our technical operations. You ensure that our systems function optimally and that new solutions are implemented smoothly.

You will:

• Be the link between our customers' system administrators and our system suppliers.
• Work closely with technology at an operational level and contribute your expertise.
• Develop and manage services for the best quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure documentation and routines for secure and stable operations.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to:

• Participate in implementations, changes, and decommissioning of systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational disruptions and drive improvement work.
• Implement and maintain integrations between different IT systems.
• Stay updated through environmental monitoring and participate in technical projects.
• Share knowledge and contribute to competence development within the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in systems and integration who enjoys working in a dynamic environment. You have several years of experience in several of the following areas:

• IT systems and application server operations in a Microsoft environment.
• System integration and monitoring.
• Strong technical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication skills and teamwork ability.
• A strong interest in learning and developing in several areas for future needs.
• Knowledge and experience in M365.

You enjoy keeping an eye on the world and staying updated on what is happening in the field with new technologies and products. You are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and have a desire to develop and learn new things. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Meritorious:

It is an advantage if you have experience working in a larger IT organization and have knowledge of large-scale IT environments as well as experience from the public sector. That would be a big plus!
